Parking
Unlimited free parking on two sides of Jewell Park directly across from museum entrance. Two-hour limit on Central and Grand Avenues. All-day parking in Forest Avenue lot on Saturday and Sunday only.
Accessibility
Adult visitors with disabilities receive complimentary admission upon request. One-to-one aides, interpreters for deaf guests, and guides for blind guests receive half-price admission ($6). Service animals permitted in accordance with ADA. Wheelchair accessible parking and facilities.
Visitor tip
Don't miss the bird exhibit (291 species with 409 mounted birds) and the interactive 'Wonder' gallery upstairs—these are highlighted as visitor favorites. The fossil pit and hands-on weaving stations are especially engaging for children.
