What you should know

Visitor tip School groups should call (707) 601-5546 in advance to schedule a guided tour, which maximizes the educational value by providing context about salmon life cycles, conservation efforts, and the connection between forestry and fish habitat management.
Best time Arrival on clear weather days recommended - several visitors noted condensation can fog the outside of tanks on cool mornings, reducing visibility. A dry day or afternoon visit provides better viewing conditions.
Visitor tip Bring kids to see the different life stages of salmon and steelhead separated into tanks with a mock stream setup - reviewers noted this visual separation of development stages is especially engaging for younger children.

A cool little exhibit about steelhead salmon and trout with a small aquarium worth the stop
