What you should know

Visitor tip Head directly to the ostriches first—they are the most active and engaging animals in this section and tend to interact well with visitors for photos and observation.
Visitor tip Allow time to explore the porcupines and warthogs at the end of the section, as they are less crowded than the main exhibits and offer a more relaxed observation experience.
Visitor tip Be aware that ostriches can be more aggressive than other animals in the exhibit, so maintain appropriate distance and supervise children closely when viewing them.

What visitors say

Ostriches, wildebeests, zebras, and several other Serengeti (sub-Saharan African) animals live in this section of the Franklin Park Zoo. I had no issue with the ostriches, who posed nicely with my picture.
There are a handful of animals roaming around, including porcupines and warthogs at the very end. The ostriches seem to be the most aggressive of all of them. The rest were generally chilling.
Average experience. Food choices are very limited but exhibits are fun. Quite a bit of construction when we went but otherwise a good day.
