Dress in extreme layers: flannel-lined jeans or long-johns, multiple shirts, neck gator, vest, inner and outer jackets, plus beanie and gloves. Bring rechargeable hand warmers as the facility is exceptionally cold with overhead heaters rarely used.
Best time
Call ahead or visit in person to verify hours before traveling, as posted hours are frequently inaccurate and the facility doesn't reliably answer phones or emails. Plan for potential closure despite listed operating times.
