Accessibility
Ohio History Connection is committed to providing an accessible and friendly environment free from discrimination. Accessibility efforts are ongoing to remove barriers to participation and improve services for underserved audiences.
Best time
Plan your visit on a quieter weekday or avoid event nights like 'Night at the Museum' if you prefer a calm learning environment. Reviews mention that special events draw large crowds and can create excessive noise, making it difficult to focus on exhibits.
Visitor tip
Start with the Indigenous Wonders of Our World exhibit featuring the ancient Hopewell earthworks and 2,000-year-old artifacts with interactive elements exploring astronomy and geometry. This is a unique, Ohio-specific collection that showcases the museum's specialized strengths.

What visitors say
Great time tonight at the Night at the Museum evening. Lots of people there. Many families at this event as well as living characters. Some quite unexpected. Some very informative. Only thing really missing was food. State I believe has…
The Ohio history center has a beautiful display of artefacts show casing the various stages of evolution and growth the land has gone through. The way it explains the culture and heritage is amazing. Worth visiting
We only made it through the ground floor. The center was having an event & it was very loud. It looked like a really funny & interesting event. Acoustically it was too loud for us. We will definitely go back-so much to look at and learn.
