Visitor tip
Bring multiple pairs of extra socks and consider bringing your own skates or purchasing new ones from the pro shop next door. Multiple reviewers reported rental skates being uncomfortably tight or poorly fitting, which significantly impacted their skating experience.
Best time
Arrive early for skate rentals, especially during peak times like the week before/after Christmas. Families report long waits and limited availability of properly-fitting rental skates during busy holiday periods.
Best time
Plan visits on weekday afternoons or evenings rather than weekends or holidays when the rink is extremely crowded. Sunday late evening hockey games attract a 'locals-only' feel with minimal crowds, though expect a strong sweat smell from the games.
