💬 What Visitors Say
- Purchase carrots before boarding the Safari Tour to hand-feed bison, water buffalo, yak, eland, and watusi across the 150 acres. This enhances the interactive experience and ensures you have the right food for the animals.
- In the Petting Zoo, be aware that larger goats can become aggressive during feeding time. Keep a safe distance from bigger animals and supervise children closely, especially when goats tug at clothing to signal they want food.
- Visit during spring (May onwards through Labor Day) when the zoo operates daily. September-October operates weekends only, and the Drive-Thru Safari option is only available the last three weekends of April and first three weekends of November.
- Don't miss the giraffe feeding experience where you can meet Bakari, Tucker, Kimba, and Oliver up close. This signature interactive experience provides memorable encounters not available at many zoos.
- Active duty military and veterans receive FREE admission with valid ID, and children 2 and under are also free. Consider the Safari Tour add-on ($21 total vs $11 for exhibits only) to experience the full 150-acre property with animal herds.
