Visit Monday-Thursday right when they open for the best ice quality and fewer crowds. Avoid visiting during school breaks when the rink gets extremely packed, and avoid peak times when skating camps are running as they block off significant portions of the ice.
Visitor tip
Bring both thick and thin socks to try with rental skates, as rental skate fit varies. Also bring band-aids, as the rental skates may not be perfectly sharpened. Many visitors report rental skates need more frequent sharpening.
Visitor tip
The Learn to Skate program has professional coaches and produces great results even on the first day, making it excellent for families. Coaches are known for being patient and attentive with children.
