Visitor tip
Prioritize the interactive feeding experience where kids can feed shrimp to fish — this is consistently highlighted as the favorite activity for children ages 5-9. Combine this with the touch tank for starfish and duck feeding area for a complete hands-on visit.

What visitors say
This is a neat place. There are lots of local fish to observe. I was a little skeptical at first, as the tanks seemed dirty but was pleasantly surprised as the staff explained that the water the fish are swimming in comes straight from…
We had the most wonderful experience visiting the aquarium on Friday, September 26, 2025. The two gentleman that led us through the place, Jared and Jesse were so lovely and friendly. We would go back just to chat with them again!
Such a cute aquarium! We took our daughters here and they loved seeing all the fish and getting to feed them shrimp. The staff were so friendly walking us around telling us about the fish and their names they gave them.

Did You Know?
- The aquarium uses natural ocean water directly from the Pacific for its tanks, meaning fish are swimming in their actual natural marine environment rather than treated saltwater
- Operating hours follow local fishing seasons closely, with winter hours being limited and variable due to weather, reflecting the aquarium's integration with Westport's fishing town culture
- Features a multi-year printing press tour program (2024-2026) that travels to libraries, museums, and schools, combining maritime education with printmaking workshops
