Visit during cooler parts of the day (early morning or late afternoon) to potentially see the polar bears more active, as some visitors note they tend to pace around during warmer hours
Visitor tip
Prepare for the contrast of seeing polar bears in a San Diego warm climate environment - the exhibit has climate control features that may be worth learning about from staff or exhibits to understand the adaptation story
What visitors say
It was fun to see the polar bears, though I'm surprised to see them in such a warm environment.
This was a cool exhibit. There were more than just the polar bears. There were interactive things to touch and do! It is a small hike up the hill to get to it.
The polar bears are cool, but they just pace around 😁
