What you should know
Best time
Time your visit to catch the lions during their active periods when they're playing and roaring rather than sleeping. Most big cats rest during parts of the day, so plan accordingly to see more dynamic behavior and get the full experience.
Visitor tip
Take advantage of the floor-to-ceiling windows in multiple indoor and outdoor viewing areas for close-up encounters with the cats. These windows provide the best photo opportunities and intimate viewing without disturbing the animals.
Visitor tip
Visit during Holiday Magic (seasonal event) when all animal houses are open and the venue features 2 million lights. This provides extended access to indoor exhibits and makes for a special family outing experience.
